I started the Herbalist Manifesto in March of 2011 as an off shoot of another website, The Practical Herbalist. PH is a growing on-line encyclopedia of herbal and homesteading information that I am compiling with authors Pat and Candace Hunter. The Herbalist Manifesto is a more personal vision of my journey through the world of natural living.
I am a certified herbalist, sustainable landscape educator, and avid naturalist. I am a writer, organic gardener, and permaculture pioneer. The Herbalist Manifesto is a blog that sponsors progressive stewardship.
Send me your feedback and ideas. I look forward to sharing a positive vision of our changing world.

Hi
Just wanted to say I am a beginner which due to my hypertension problem started researching the various herbs for my blood pressure.
It is a cliche, but must say I found your post about garlic of value.
Will be interested to follow your blog.
Greetings
Dietlof
I am happy that you enjoyed it. Garlic is an amazing herb for hypertension. I also recommend hawthorn. Lots of herb companies have hawthorn tincture or syrup for daily use. You can find out more about this lovely herb at http://www.thepracticalherbalist.com/component/content/article/40-herbal-encyclopedia/124-hawthorn-the-heart-healer.html?directory=103

I welcome all herbal students to enjoy the Herbalist Manifesto. My time is currently divided between the Occupy movement, my job and my family so postings have been a little sparse lately. Go ahead and reprint my blog posts. I take my hat off to you as a teacher. Keep up the good work!
